Induction Program for Faculty

An induction program on Learning & Development programme for the faculty and staff was conducted on Wednesday, 10th March, 2021 in the Seminar Hall at ASET. The forenoon session was intended for newly joined faculty members and the afternoon session for Non-teaching Staff. The resource person for both sessions was Mr. Sherin S., a well experienced trainer and speaker. A total of 44 participants underwent training in the two sessions.
Forenoon Session:
“Transitional Skills for the New Normal” was the theme for 21 newly joined faculty members. The areas covered were adaptability & innovation, leadership & communication, people orientation and strategic planning. Through pertinent activities, the resource person conveyed the aforesaid concepts in an effective manner. All were observed to be active and enthusiastic throughout the session.
Afternoon Session:
The theme for the session was “Teamwork for synergy”. 23 Admin Staffs attended the programme. The administration department has the responsibility to project sensitivity when facing day to day issues of employees. Hence, the predominant focus of the session was on acceptance of differences, accountability, fair play and resourcefulness. Everybody contributed by their lively participation in the entire session.
The whole day was an energetic one for all. It also served to bond faculty & staff under the various Academic Institutions. Everyone who attended the session was motivated at the end of the day and we could see the blissful faces which will hopefully be reflected in the work place as well. Through this L&D programme we could also improve employee engagement. The feedback taken from participants after the programme revealed it had a positive impact. People commended the exposure they had and felt it was refreshing experience.
