The fourth semester students (2017-2018) of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology visited BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited), Palakkad on 24.02.2018. The students were able to understand the various ports and wires present inside the MDF and came to know how each port connects to a subscriber’s unique number and also about the data distribution according to the customer’s need inside the ADSL room. Students got a clear demonstration about the connection of mobile phone calls and how faults in telephone connections are checked using the software. The industrial visit provided an insight on how BSNL works and also information related to the practical aspects.
