The third and final year students of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering visited the Radio Astronomy Centre (RAC), Ooty on 8 February 2019. The students were able to see the devices that they usually learn in their curriculum. The technical experts present there explained the working of Ooty Radio Telescope (ORT-530 m long and 30 m wide) and the associated antenna structure for observing and explaining various phenomena occurring in our solar system.
