Swachhata Hi Seva Cleaning Drive at Palakkad Fort

Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology students in collaboration with Archaeological Survey of India cleaned the Palakkad fort and its surroundings on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. One hundred and three students, three teachers and Archaeological Survey of India staff spread the message of Swachhata Hi Seva through this programme. The students also cleaned the flag tree and the surrounding area, the footpath and the steps leading to the ditch. Visited by thousands of tourists, the fort is the face of Palakkad. Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology students were able to participate in the preservation of this heritage site and the mission of making the new generation responsible citizens came true. Archaeological Survey of India Senior Conservation Assistant Muhsina N, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology teachers Sangeeta PS, Preeja V, Bindu Valoor and NSS volunteers led the cleanliness drive.
