The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology organized a one-day orientation program titled “Safety Aspects of Electrical Systems and Safe Earthing Practices” on 23rd November 2024. The program was conducted at the college premises, was inaugurated with an introductory address by Dr. Murugananth G, Head of the Department of EEE. The session was led by Mr. S. Appavoo, General Secretary of the National Federation of Engineers for Electrical Safety (NFE), who provided insightful and practical knowledge about electrical safety protocols and advanced earthing practices essential for ensuring a safe working environment. The event witnessed active participation from EEE department faculty, members of the Kerala chapter of NFE, and other esteemed attendees, including the special invitee, Dr. Suresh P. R., Honorable Principal of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology.
The program concluded with a gratitude note delivered by Dr. Pradip C, Professor, EEE Dept., expressing heartfelt thanks to the resource person, dignitaries, and participants for making the event a resounding success. The orientation served as an excellent platform to disseminate critical safety awareness and foster collaboration between academia and professional bodies like NFE.
