Poem Writing Competition – ‘Rune’

An online poetry writing competition was conducted by the IEEE Student Branch of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), Palakkad in association with the IEEE Women in Engineering Student Branch Affinity Group and IEEE APS Student Branch Chapter on 1^st May 2021. The competition was held to commemorate the International Labour Day. Seven UG students (5 IEEE members) participated in the competition. The entries were in English and Malayalam. The first place was achieved by Ms. Shrishti B. M. (2^nd year, CSE, University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering) and Ms. Sneha Krishna (1^st year, ECE, ASET). The second place was won by Ms. Nithyasree S. (1^st year, ECE, ASET). At third place was Mr. M. Nithin (2^nd year, CSE, ASET) and Mr. Vishnu Venugopalan K. (1^st year, ECE, ASET). We received great support from our student branch and the faculty members without whom the event could not have been a monumental success. The judges for the event were Ms. Prabha R. (Asst. Professor, ASET) and Ms. Bindu Valoor (Manager, Academics Outreach, Ahalia Group). Overall, the event was well appreciated by the students who gave us very positive feedback and also requested us to conduct such events in future. The event was coordinated by Ms. Sthuthi Maria S. (1^st year, ECE) and Mr. Aswin Raj (2^nd year CSE).
