On 14 December 2019, Ms. Revathy R., Ms. Shabna S. and Ms. Vishnupriya K. (2017-21 batch – ECE), student members of the IEEE Student Branch and IEEE-APS Student Branch Chapter of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology, attended a national workshop on “Beyond Glass Barriers” at NIT Calicut. The event was organized by the IEEE Malabar Sub-Section. The event consisted of talks by Dr. Madhu Kumar, Dr. Rajasree (Vice-Chancelor, Kerala Technological University) on “Administration and Leadership in Technical Education”, Dr. Bindima on “My Guide and My Experience as a Research Scholar”, Dr. Preethi Manniledar on “Entrepreneurship and Women”, Ms. Anjali Chandran on “Industry to Entrepreneurship” and Ms. Sruthi Ratheesh on “Fitness for Women Professionals”. Also, during the session the IEEE MSS Lifetime Contribution Award was given to Dr. Elizabeth Elias.
